Kneeling Carabao in Pulilan Carabao Festival

The Pulilan Carabao Festival is celebrated  every 14th to 15th of May in honor to San Isidro Labrador who is the patron saint for farmers. Carabaos are decorated with colorful floats and led on parade in the streets and in front of church, carabao is kneeling as a symbol of thanksgiving for good harvest, then a priest in the church makes blessed for each carabao as they passed. On the 15th of May carabao races are held as part of the celebration.

Several festivals in Philippines are celebrated in honor of San Isidro Labrador such as Sabugan Festival in Quezon, Nabas Bariw Festival in Aklan, Fiesta of San Isidro de Labrador in Talavera Nueva Ecija, Pahiyas Festival in Quezon, and Kangga Festival in Mogpog Quezon.
